As a Water Treatment Plant Operator, you will:
- Operate and maintain advanced systems including Chemical Dosing, Ion Exchange Filtration, Ultraviolet Disinfection, and Reverse Osmosis
- Monitor and adjust process controls and chemical dosing to ensure optimal performance
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues
- Maintain accurate records and ensure full compliance with Maryland regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with team members to improve system efficiency and reliability
- Required: Active Class T2 or T4 Water Treatment Operator Certification issued by the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE)
- Solid technical knowledge of water treatment processes and equipment
- Preferred experience with chemical injection and ion exchange systems
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, field-based environment
- Competitive hourly pay ranging from $30–$40 based on your experience and certification
