Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers (dozers), loaders, backhoes, and other machinery to perform earthmoving, grading, lifting, and material transport tasks
- Handle construction materials using specialized equipment like concrete mixers, front loader trucks, dump trucks
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of machinery to ensure safety and proper functioning before use
- Assist with site preparation by leveling terrain, digging trenches, and moving debris or materials efficiently
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment use and project timelines while adhering to safety protocols
- Maintain detailed logs of equipment operation hours and maintenance needs
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment
Experience
- Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, cranes, and similar machinery
- Hands-on experience working on construction sites with knowledge of site safety standards and best practices
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues quickly
- Prior experience working with various types of heavy machinery used in construction projects enhances your candidacy.
