Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team for our Amityville Plant. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our laundry equipment and facilities, ensuring smooth operations that support our commitment to excellence in healthcare service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial laundry equipment and machinery.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic issues using schematics and diagnostic tools.
- Operate and calibrate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as needed for equipment repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS software.
- Assist in facility maintenance tasks, including plumbing, painting, and general upkeep.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance procedures and reduce downtime.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in industrial or commercial maintenance, preferably within manufacturing or facilities environments.
- Strong electrical knowledge and experience working with schematics.
- Skilled in welding, mechanical repairs, and troubleshooting PLCs.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Experience with CMMS software is preferred.
- Leadership or supervising experience is a plus.
- Ability to read technical schematics and use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
