SUMMARY: The IT Manufacturing Support is responsible for first-level IT support of the manufacturing environment. This includes but is not limited to manufacturing execution systems (PlantTalk, Mattec, etc.), manufacturing technology (computers, Premisys printers, tablets, hand-held computers, scanners, etc.) and technology used by manufacturing personnel. PM activities associated with all technologies are important aspects of the position (ensuring PMs are completed and documented as scheduled).
Other responsibilities may include supervision, IT project assignments, front office support (office PC’s, printers, etc.) and basic network support.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include The Following.
Coordinates and maintains all job responsibilities in a continuous and flexible manner and performs other related duties and job assignments as required.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: At least a two-year degree or proven on-the-job experience as an IT technician in a manufacturing environment – two years of related experience. Must have knowledge of manufacturing execution systems (MES). Experience with automotive manufacturing. Good understanding of networking technologies and desktop operating systems. Understanding of ERP systems (CMS). Good understanding of plant automation and support equipment.
