What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Engineer position at JV Recruiter?
We are currently seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join a pioneering humanoid robotics company in the SF Bay Area. This is a Direct Hire (Permanent) position designed for an engineer who excels in the critical phase between product design and high-volume market launch.
The Role
This position focuses on the architecture of the production line rather than the maintenance of existing processes. The successful candidate will take ownership of complex robotic components—including high-torque actuators, skeletal structures, and precision drive units—guiding them from design freeze through pilot validation and into full-scale mass production.
Key Qualifications
- High-Volume Pedigree: 4–8 years of experience in high-volume, high-complexity manufacturing. Experience scaling hardware in fast-paced electric vehicle, battery, or advanced medical robotics environments is highly prioritized.
- NPI Lifecycle Expertise: A proven track record of managing the transition from prototype to pilot and mass production. Candidates must demonstrate deep knowledge of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and production validation stages.
- Electromechanical Depth: Expertise in manufacturing complex moving assemblies such as rotating joints, suspension systems, and high-precision motor housings.
- Automation Implementation: Ability to simplify intricate manual assembly tasks by designing custom jigs, fixtures, and automated systems utilizing vision sensors and closed-loop feedback.
- Academic Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or Chemical Engineering.
The Profile
We are looking for "builders"—engineers who enjoy the challenge of setting up new lines, optimizing for speed and repeatability, and scaling production from the ground up. This role requires a balance of hands-on technical skill (CAM/CNC/Tooling) and high-level manufacturing strategy to ensure product reliability at scale.
Compensation & Benefits
- Direct Employment: This is a permanent W2 position (not a contract role).
- Compensation: $105,000 – $220,000 base salary, with a total compensation target of up to $250k for Senior/Staff level experience.
- Relocation: Full relocation assistance is available for the San Francisco Bay Area
- Package: Significant equity, 401(k) matching, and comprehensive premium health benefits.
Why Apply?
This is an opportunity to move beyond sustaining traditional production lines and enter the frontier of humanoid robotics. This company offers the autonomy to define the manufacturing roadmap and provides the resources necessary to build a world-class production environment from the ground up.
