Xray Technologist/Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant and Licensed X-Ray Technician able to perform X-rays as ordered by providers.

Prepare patients for Physicians during clinic, assist Doctors with patient care and procedures.

Knowledgeable with the use of Electronic Medical Records.

Able to display strong organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritize tasks.

Applicant must be reliable, compassionate and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Strong communication skills.

Detailed Responsibilities:

• Able to take X-rays as ordered by providers
• Assist with daily patient flow in areas as needed
• Give direct patient care and perform indirect patient care activities, under the direction of a Physician or ARNP
• Take appropriate action to maintain a safe and aesthetic environment
• Assist Physician with examinations as required and assists other staff members in providing patient care
• Check equipment and supplies prior to use for function, inspection and expiration date; report malfunction of medical equipment and safety issues to supervisor
• Comply with Infection Control and OSHA Regulations for the center as per regulations
• Keep patients information private and limit conversation of a personal nature in patient’s presence
• Able to perform in teamwork with personnel from other departments
• Demonstrate ability to multi-task and organize.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

Qualifications

• Xray Technologist Certification from the State of FL
• Knowledgeable with use of EMR, Allscripts preferred
• Familiarity with medical terminology (Orthopedic Preferred)
• Ability to work well under pressure in a critical environment and maintain attention to detail in order to accurately document encounter
• Observation, listening, interpersonal, and clarification skills in order to interact positively and productively with provider and patient'
