What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Pre-K Teacher position at Juz Us Childcare Development Center?
Looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual for the Lead Pre-K Teacher position. All NSECD Pre-K 4 Lead Teachers must meet at least one of the following requirements:
a. A valid and current Louisiana teaching certificate in PK-3 or Birth to Kindergarten;
b. A valid and current Louisiana teaching certificate in Elementary Education certification and currently pursuing the add-on PK-3 certification, Birth to Kindergarten, or Early Interventionist certification;
c. A valid and current Louisiana certification in any areas other than eligible Early Childhood certifications, Grades 1-5, or Elementary Grades, and currently pursuing the add-on PK-3 certification, Birth to Kindergarten certification, or Early Interventionist certification
d. An NSECD Lead Teacher without a valid Louisiana certification at the beginning of the 2026-2027 academic year must have, at a minimum, a bachelor’s degree and must be enrolled in a PK-3rd grade Alternate Certification Program, Birth to Kindergarten Alternate Certification Program, or Early Interventionist Alternate Certification Program by January 2027. This teacher must also meet all other requirements for enrollment in a State-approved PK - 3rd grade, Birth to Kindergarten, or Early Interventionist Alternate Certification Program, be continuously enrolled in such program, and earn a valid Type I PK-3, Birth to Kindergarten, or Early Interventionist teaching certificate within 3 years from the original hire date in order to continue qualifying as a NSECD Program Teacher.
