Role Description

This is a temporary on-site role for a Summer Camp Instructor, based in Emmaus, PA. The Summer Camp Instructor will oversee and manage children’s activities, ensuring a safe, engaging, and educational environment. Responsibilities include planning and leading creative Art & STEM workshops, supervising campers during activities, and fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere. The role requires coordination with other team members to deliver a memorable camp experience while maintaining a fun and educational focus.

Our Summer Camp Program specializes in Art & STEM education for youth, 6 – 12 years of age. Camp will run Monday through Friday, during the weeks of July 6, 13, 27 and August 3. Camp hours will be 9am-3:30pm with morning classes running 9am-12pm and afternoons 12:30pm-3:30pm. This is a paid opportunity; instructors are offered $40/hour, plus paid prep time determined by the JuxtaHub team.

Qualifications

• Experience in teaching, mentoring, or working with children in educational or recreational settings
• Skills in art, technology, culinary arts, or other creative disciplines
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to ensure safety, manage groups, and foster a positive learning environment
• Flexibility, enthusiasm, and a passion for encouraging creativity in youth
• Previous experience in summer camp settings or youth programming is a plus
