What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guest Services Specialist position at JUUT Salonspa?
As a Guest Service Specialist, you will provide an elevated customer experience to all JUUT guests.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience
- Greet guests upon arrival with the appropriate welcome utilized for new or returning guests.
- Check in guests, give salon tour to all new JUUT guests, and offer add-on appointments available following guest’s scheduled service.
- Escort guest to waiting area, hang up coat if necessary, and offer beverage to all guests.
- Perform confirmation calls to guests and offer add-on services during call.
- Check out guests by ringing up their services, closing out the sale of retail products recommended, rebooking their next appointment, providing welcome gift to new guests, and finishing with an authentic thank you.
- Answer incoming guest calls. Schedule appointments with proper artist or therapist through matchmaking, seeking to find and meet the guest’s hair, skin, and body care needs. Offer add-ons and upsell booked appointments as appropriate.
- Capture guest data completely and accurately.
- Understand the artists at the salon, including services provided, specialties, and experience level to schedule appointments appropriately.
- Reschedule appointments and block artist time in the computer system as necessary.
- Make follow-up calls to new guests as requested.
Salon Operations
- Stock retail shelves as necessary.
- Clean retail shelves on a regular basis.
- Monitor and refill beverage station items, keep area clean and stocked.
- Organize magazines throughout salon to be in order and easily accessible to guests.
- Ensure bathrooms are clean, tidy, and restocked.
- Handle cash, including making bank deposits.
Daymaking
- Continually increase your product knowledge to be a better resource for our guests.
- Remain professional in demeanor, communication across all channels, and dress (including following proper dress code and appearance guidelines).
- Assist with other duties as assigned by salon leaders.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Some exposure to salon, cosmetics, hospitality, or retail business preferred
- Customer service experience preferred but not required
- Must work a minimum of one 3-hour shift per pay cycle to maintain active employment
Physical Requirements
This role requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, sit, and squat; grab, pull, and lift up to 10 lbs; talk, hear, and see items at a close or distant range.

Pay is dependent upon direct guest service experience.
Salary : $17 - $19
