What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Prep / Gravel Pad Installer position at Justin's Premier Shed & Trailers Sales?
About the Position
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking individual or small crew to install gravel pads and prepare sites for the portable buildings that we sell and deliver to customers.
You will be responsible for traveling to customer properties, preparing the site, and installing a properly sized and level gravel pad before the shed is delivered.
This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in landscaping, excavation, site preparation, gravel work, construction, or operating equipment who enjoys working independently and taking pride in a job well done.
Responsibilities
- Travel to customer locations within central Iowa
- Measure and prepare sites for building installation
- Excavate and level areas as needed
- Install and spread gravel to create a stable, level pad
- Work around existing yards, landscaping, fences, and other property features
- Communicate professionally with customers
- Keep work areas clean and leave customer properties looking neat
- Coordinate timing with our team to ensure the pad is completed before the scheduled shed delivery
Qualifications
- Previous experience with gravel, landscaping, excavation, construction, or site preparation preferred
- Ability to accurately measure and level a site
- Comfortable performing physical outdoor work
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to customer locations
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- Reliable, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Experience operating a skid steer, mini excavator, or similar equipment is a plus
