Personal Injury Pre-Litigation Paralegal (Bilingual – Spanish Required)
Location: Sorrels Law – 230 Westcott St., Houston, TX
Schedule: 100% In-Person
Compensation: $20–$28 per hour, depending on experience Performance bonus on each case.

Sorrels Law is seeking a highly skilled Spanish-English bilingual Personal Injury Pre-Litigation Paralegal to support our growing pre-litigation department. This is a full-time, in-office position at our Houston office.
The ideal candidate has at least two years of dedicated personal injury experience, strong case-management abilities, and excellent communication skills. You will oversee client communication, medical treatment coordination, record requests, case development, and demand-package preparation for motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, wrongful death, dram shop cases, and other negligence matters.
You will work directly with Attorney Jessica and help manage active pre-lit cases, ensuring files move efficiently and clients receive exceptional service.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Spanish-speaking clients throughout the pre-litigation stage.
- Conduct welcome calls and explain the full treatment and claims process.
- Maintain regular client check-ins regarding pain levels, appointment attendance, and progress updates.
- Ensure clients follow their treatment plans and resolve scheduling or provider issues promptly.
- Keep clients consistently informed about next steps and case status.
- Coordinate medical treatment with chiropractors, orthopedists, imaging centers, pain specialists, and other providers.
- Track every phase of treatment from initial exam to maximum medical improvement (MMI).
- Order medical records, bills, radiology images, and provider notes.
- Follow up persistently to ensure timely receipt of all records.
- Review medical documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Collect photos, videos, crash reports, police records, witness statements, property damage documentation, employment records, and other case evidence.
- Communicate with insurance adjusters regarding coverage updates, claim status, property damage progress, and general documentation requests.
- Track adjuster communications, policy limits, claim numbers, and deadlines.
- Assist with PIP, MedPay, UM/UIM, Medicare/Medicaid, hospital liens, and ERISA-related matters as needed.
- Draft and organize comprehensive demand packages, including:
- Liability summaries
- Medical chronology and treatment narrative
- Damages analysis
- Supporting exhibits and documentation
- Prepare all case materials and ensure the attorney has everything needed for the attorney to conduct settlement negotiations.
- Maintain open communication with clients after the attorney negotiates, including coordinating updated documents, signatures, or follow-up appointments when needed.
- Maintain firm-specific pre-litigation checklists (MVA, Dram Shop, Wrongful Death, Premises, etc.).
- Track internal deadlines, statutes, and task requirements for each case.
- Regularly update the attorney on negotiation readiness, case status, and potential litigation needs.
- Assist with settlement workflows, reductions, lien resolution, and disbursement preparation once cases are resolved.
- Spanish-English bilingual (REQUIRED)
- Minimum 2 years of personal injury pre-litigation experience (REQUIRED)
- Strong understanding of the personal injury workflow from intake through demand.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially with injured clients.
- Highly organized, efficient, and able to manage a large caseload.
- Experience with record requests, medical summaries, and insurance coordination.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work 100% in-person at our Houston office.
