As a Collector, you’ll be the steady, solutions‑driven voice helping Members navigate financial challenges. You’ll monitor delinquent accounts, offer thoughtful guidance, and help Members regain financial stability—all while protecting the credit union’s loan portfolio.
Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, start time is between 9:00–10:00 a.m. and end time is between 5:30–6:30 p.m. Exact schedule to be discussed and agreed upon during the interview.
New hires may qualify for a $500 hiring bonus.
Key Job Functions:
- Delinquent account outreach — Monitor past‑due loans and connect with Members consistently and compassionately.
- Financial counseling — Provide personalized solutions that strengthen Members’ financial well‑being.
- Payment processing — Post delinquent loan payments accurately and in line with policy.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Education — High School Diploma or equivalent; relevant experience may substitute.
- Experience — One to three years of similar or related experience; preferably in a credit union, financial institution, or call center.
- Communication — Clear, confident communication with a Member‑first mindset.
- Multitasking — Ability to juggle priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Policy & legal document skills — Comfortable interpreting garnishments, judgments, and bankruptcy filings.
- Physical Requirements - Must be able to push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs., as needed, and requires extended periods of sitting and/or standing and to be able to use PC, copier, scanner, fax, etc.

Compensation ranges are based on market data that enables Justice Federal Credit Union to remain competitive with other credit unions of similar asset size.
