Job Description

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The strong candidate for this position will be a passionate worshipper who takes seriously the responsibility of leading people into the presence of God. He/she will be authentic, relational, and a strong team leader. This individual will be skilled at both leading worship and building worship and technical teams. He/she will be experienced in crafting worship services that empower others to use their God-given talents and in creating environments conducive to worship. The candidate will possess an adequate understanding of sound, video, and live-stream to provide effective oversight. He/she will be both a singer and a musician and will be comfortable overseeing two distinct worship styles within two different services. This individual will be skilled at fostering an inspirational experience with God in worship and detailed enough to oversee all aspects of the service.

Position Summary:

Provide passionate, energetic leadership to Sunday worship services, overseeing all aspects, leading vocally, and facilitating genuine inspirational experiences with God.

Position Responsibilities:

Gear both services to accomplish Trinity’s mission to Follow Jesus, Love People, and Give Hope through the worship experience.

Oversee all aspects of the Worship Services except for preaching, and work with the pastors for an intentional and cohesive worship experience.

Develop goals and objectives to substantially improve the second service and broaden Trinity’s reach of those under 40.

Lead the congregation and the band as the primary up-front person during the musical worship part of the second service.

Develop and empower people of all ages to use their creative and technical gifts in the worship services and incorporate a variety of creative elements such as media, testimonies, Scripture, prayer, and moments of celebration.

Engage the hearts and minds of worship service attenders to inspire and draw them into authentic worship.

Oversee and coordinate all worship service volunteers and effectively maintain the volunteer schedule.

Plan services, choose songs, lead rehearsals, and coordinate any necessary preparation and setup.

Lead the Worship Advisory Team to fulfill ministry goals.

Oversee the annual Worship Ministry budget.

General Responsibilities:

Maintain a growing relationship with God personally.

Communicate in a clear and timely manner.

Participate in Ministry Directors meetings and regular staff meetings.

Actively engage in the life of the church and become a member of Lititz Trinity.

Qualifications & Skills:

Passion for Jesus and for worship

Skilled and experienced musically and in Worship Ministry leadership

Adequate understanding of the Scriptures

Proficient in recruiting, equipping, and empowering volunteers

Competent in sound, video, and livestream

Skilled in a modern worship style with the ability to lead older songs as well

Awareness and ability to plan and lead services without too much rigidity

Clear and timely communicator

Positive follow-through and organizational skills

Classification: Full-time, exempt

Hourly Commitment: 40 hours per week average

Reports To: Pastoral Staff
