Overview
We are seeking a front desk coordinator for our well-established general dental office in Huntingdon Valley. We are open four days per week (Monday through Thursday) so you can enjoy 3-day weekends every single week
The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and administrative support within a busy dental office. Experience working in a dental office and excellent communication skills are essential to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Responsibilities
- Checking patients in at the front desk, confirming patient information is up to date and accurate
- Answering phone calls in a courteous and helpful manner
- Responding to emails regarding patient scheduling and inquiries
- Verifying all dental insurance is active and eligible
- Obtaining copies of benefit summaries from the insurance company
- Collecting patient copays, posting payments to transaction ledger
- Support office management tasks including front desk operations, office supply management, and general administrative support
- Making hygiene reminder calls and scheduling overdue patients
- Scheduling treatment and following up on unscheduled treatment
- Confirming appointments and filling openings in the schedule
- Scanning correspondence and other documents into patient charts
Experience
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle multi-line phones efficiently and patient concerns with respect
- Prior experience working in a dental office environment
- Reliability and ability to work well in a group setting
- Knowledge of dental terminology and/or coding is advantageous
- Experience with insurance verification processes utilizing automated phone systems or insurance provider portals
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and practice management software like SoftDent
Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 35 per week
