Dog Daycare Attendant

Just4Paws Philly is seeking a qualified and reliable dog-lover to join our team as a Dog Daycare Attendant.

Job Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to) -

• Providing a safe, clean and fun environment for the dogs in our play groups to socialize.
• Monitoring play groups with up to 40 (total) dogs per day (*note: dogs are split up into smaller groups according to size & play-style).
• Evaluating new dogs and ensuring their temperament is adequate for daycare.
• Making sure each dog is always placed in the appropriate play group.
• Being knowledgeable and aware of dog body language at all times.
• Cleaning immediately after elimination.
• Utilizing our software to check the daily schedule, sign dogs in/out, and maintain client information.
• Taking high-quality pictures of all of the dogs for daily updates to owners.
• Communicating with and assisting the rest of the staff by helping out in any areas when needed.
• Providing excellent customer service while receiving and returning the dogs to and from their owners.

Applicants Must -

• feel comfortable handling a variety of dog breeds, sizes and temperaments in a group-play and off-leash setting
• be 100% reliable - the dogs are depending on us to be here!!
• possess strong customer service skills
• be a team player, willing to help out wherever necessary
• understand that this is a very labor-intensive position that requires having the ability to stand on their feet for long periods of time, lift & dump mop buckets, control larger-sized dogs, and bring the dogs outside to/from the owners up/down a flight of stairs
• have availability during our operating hours and be able to work at least one double per week

Our operating hours are Tuesday - Friday from 7am to 6pm.

Prior professional experience in the animal care field is a plus, but as a small team that depends upon each other to provide the highest quality of care for our dogs, we are willing to train the right candidate who shares the same passion for animals, flexibility and willingness to jump in wherever needed.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
