What are the responsibilities and job description for the Area Team Leader position at Just Salad?
Under the general direction of the Regional Director/VP of Operations/COO the ATL will focus on the overall operations and success of 5 or more restaurants. They will ensure that company goals are being met, including but not limited to labor, operations, team development, and sales. The ATL will also represent Just Salad by ensuring that all stores are following operational standards and procedures. In line with Just Salad’s mission to make everyday health and sustainability possible, you will also support initiatives to reduce Just Salad’s environmental footprint.
Reports to: Regional Director
This is a field position in our stores and requires travel
Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train, coach and develop staff members.
- Conduct regular store visits to provide support, elevate performance and ensure accountability.
- Ensure consistent execution of company standards and food safety protocols
- Monitor and improve store productivity, order accuracy, cleanliness and guest service in all locations.
- Analyze sales, labor, and COGs for any opportunities and improve profitability
- Ensure all locations are in compliance with DOH standards.
- Able to address operational changes, employee conflict, customer complaints promptly and effectively.
- Provides regular updates to upper management on district performance and challenges.
- Assist their managers in making sure payroll procedures are followed.
- Ensure their managers report employee action forms, leaves, and terminations to HR in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years in restaurant management, preferably quick service
- Food Handlers Certification
- Manage 5 stores
- Consistently travel/visit all stores in your area
- Moving equipment weighing up to 25 pounds
- Moving continuously throughout a shift
- Ability to navigate stairs
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to receive and apply feedback
- Ability to handle customer service complaints professionally
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and employees
- Impeccable service standards, clean work habits and attention to detail
- Ability to lead and coach/develop employees
- Uses problem solving within a high-volume environment while maintaining a good attitude
- Computer knowledge including Word and Excel • Must possess strong experience with P&Ls
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Minimum one weekend spent in stores per month, however, this could be more depending on the store needs and any issues that may arise
- Minimum 50 hour work week
