JOB DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking an experienced and highly driven Regional Sales Director to lead strategic growth initiatives across the foodservice channel throughout the Southeast United States. This role is part of our expanding redistributor and processor operation specializing in IQF fruits, vegetables, and frozen FMCG products. The position reports to senior leadership and works cross-functionally with sourcing, procurement, logistics, QA, and operations. This role requires regular travel throughout the assigned territory.
The individual will:
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies targeting broadline foodservice distributors, redistributors, regional and national chain accounts, QSR and multi-unit operators, and industrial and commissary customers
- Drive growth across IQF fruits, vegetables, frozen FMCG products, appetizers, and related frozen categories
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with category managers, procurement teams, supply chain leadership, corporate chefs, distribution leadership, and chain purchasing groups
- Identify and secure new business opportunities while expanding existing account penetration
- Lead strategic sales initiatives, RFPs, RFQs, category reviews, and contract negotiations
- Collaborate with sourcing, procurement, logistics, QA, and operations teams to develop customized customer solutions
- Provide market intelligence on commodity trends, supply chain risks, competitive landscape, import dynamics, pricing fluctuations, and customer purchasing behavior
- Partner with internal leadership on margin optimization, inventory strategy, and growth planning
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, conferences, and customer meetings
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10 years of foodservice sales experience in frozen foods, IQF fruits and vegetables, FMCG food categories, or foodservice redistribution
- Strong existing relationships with major broadline distributors
- Demonstrated success managing and growing national chain or regional chain accounts
- Proven ability to develop business with multi-location operators and corporate purchasing organizations
- Experience with domestic producer, import, redistribution, or global sourcing environments preferred
- Understanding of cold chain logistics and frozen food supply chains
- Experience managing high-volume strategic accounts
- Strong financial and commercial acumen
- Ability to sell value-added supply chain solutions beyond commodity pricing
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
