Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Product & Packaging role based in Hauppauge, NY. The role involves supporting the development of toy product and packaging from concept through production, collaborating with design, engineering, marketing, and operations teams to ensure high-quality, on-brand executions. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in packaging design briefs, reviewing dielines and artwork, coordinating samples, and preparing product and packaging specifications for internal and external partners. The individual will help manage timelines, track approvals, and support vendor communication to ensure packaging meets cost, safety, and quality standards. The role also includes conducting competitive research, contributing to packaging innovation, and helping to resolve packaging-related issues during testing, production, and distribution.
Qualifications
- Experience or training in Packaging Design and Packaging Engineering, with the ability to interpret dielines, structural drawings, and material specifications.
- Hands-on skills in Packing and packaging execution, including practical understanding of shipping, storage, and shelf-readiness considerations.
- Background in Quality Control and Research to support testing, benchmarking, and continuous improvement of product and packaging performance.
- Relevant education in Packaging, Industrial Design, Product Design, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with comfort collaborating across cross-functional teams and with external vendors.
- Proficiency with standard office software; familiarity with design tools (such as Adobe Creative Suite or CAD) is a plus.
- Interest in the toy or consumer products industry and enthusiasm for creating engaging, safe, and compliant products for children and families.
