Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' mental well-being.
- Monitor and record vital signs as necessary, ensuring any changes are communicated to healthcare professionals.
- Help clients with mobility and physical activities, including heavy lifting when required.
- Support individuals with memory care needs through engaging activities that stimulate cognitive function.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop personalized care plans tailored to each client's needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and best practices in patient care.
Requirements
- Previous experience in senior care, hospice care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Certification in CPR is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles and practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed to assist clients effectively.
- Cooking skills are a plus for meal preparation responsibilities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
