Just Kids New Suffolk K-2 Autism Program is a NYS-approved private special education program serving students in grades K–2 on the autism spectrum. We are seeking compassionate, energetic, and collaborative Special Education Teachers who are passionate about working with young learners and committed to helping children reach their fullest potential through evidence-based practices and individualized instruction. Position Details
- 12-Month Position
- Location: New Suffolk
- Hours: 8:15 AM – 3:15 PM
- Full-Time / In Person
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized instruction aligned with each student’s IEP goals and assessments
- Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and evidence-based teaching strategies throughout the school day
- Collect and analyze student data to monitor progress and guide instruction
- Create a structured, positive, and engaging classroom environment
- Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, behavior specialists, school psychologists, families, and school districts
- Complete progress reports, CSE educational reports, and report cards
- Maintain accurate student documentation and data collection systems
- Support students in developing communication, academic, behavioral, and social skills
Qualifications
- NYS Special Education Certification Required
- Experience working with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders
- Knowledge and understanding of ABA principles and behavior management strategies within a trauma-informed framework
- Strong classroom management and collaboration skills
- Experience with data collection and progress monitoring preferred
- Teachers enrolled in a NYSED Internship Certification Program are welcome to apply

Pay: $72,000.00 - $85,060.00 per year
