Automotive Front Counter Sales
Location: Des Plaines, IL
Job Type: Temp to Hire
Shift: 1st Shift: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Alternating every third Saturday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Pay Rate: $19-$20 DOE
Requirements: Background Check / Authorized to Work in the U.S.
Job Summary
Our client is seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Auto Parts Sales Associate to assist retail customers with purchasing automotive parts and accessories. This role involves helping customers identify the correct parts, processing orders and returns, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced parts department.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist retail customers with purchasing auto parts and accessories
- Look up and identify parts using dealer catalogs and Partslink24
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Handle product returns and exchanges
- Provide excellent customer service and product knowledge
- Handle cash and other payment transactions
- Maintain an organized and efficient parts counter area
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in auto parts sales
- Experience working with dealership brands such as Volvo, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, VW, Porsche, or Land Rover preferred
- Familiarity with dealer catalogs and Partslink24 is highly preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable handling cash and processing payments
- Ability to work the required schedule including alternating Saturdays
