Duties

• Prepare and cook nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with approved menus and dietary guidelines for young children
• Plan weekly menus that incorporate variety, balance, and nutritional value while adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences
• Follow food safety sanitizing procedures rigorously to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, blenders, and food prep tools
• Handle food production at high volumes, ensuring timely meal service during busy periods
• Practice precise food handling techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and other cooking methods to prepare appealing dishes
• Maintain accurate records of food inventory, storage conditions, and sanitation logs to ensure compliance with health regulations

Skills

• Strong food preparation skills with expertise in various cooking techniques including poaching, braising, grilling, and food production methods
• Experience operating commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in high-volume settings
• Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination
• Background in food service or restaurant environments demonstrating the ability to handle fast-paced kitchen operations

Pay: $8.00 - $10.00 per hour
