Just Escape, a real-life Room Escape Game, is seeking an energetic, innovative manager for a unique and fun team-building/entertainment business located in Massapequa.

The applicant must be able to work independently and be comfortable interacting with individuals and groups.

Enthusiasm, flexibility, and a capacity to perform a number of clerical, administrative, and hospitality duties are required for this position.

Reliability and strong work ethic are essential.

Work hours will include weekends and evenings as business hours require.

Management experience is required.

Manager Expectations:

• Previous management experience (at least one year)
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic: Able to take on a sizeable workload and meet all deadlines with little to no supervision
• Reliable
• Strong communication skills
• Strong customer service skills and a friendly disposition
• Present yourself in a professional, mature manner
• Able to work a mixture of weekends, evenings, and business hours as required
• Actively market the business
• Have a thorough understanding of each of our rooms, the puzzles, the items inside. Be able to run the rooms as a monitor if necessary.
• Maintain inventory of props, supplies, and other company items such as t-shirts. Ensuring we have enough but not an overstock of items.
• Problem-solver - think critically and efficiently under pressure
• Comfortable making staffing decisions that will best serve the venue. Everything from hiring and filling out new hire paperwork to training to performance improvement plans, including termination of employees where needed.

Manager Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Supervise day-to-day operations
• Schedule staff to best meet the needs of our schedule
• Customer interactions including scheduling events, responding to inquiries, marketing, troubleshooting, etc.
• Manage the physical aspects of the venue: aesthetics, repair, maintenance, maintaining a safe, professional environment. This includes minor repairs, initiating immediate notification of any puzzle or building defects
• Closely supervise employees, ensure that employees are held to high standards and represent the company with integrity,
• Keep the venue clean and organized

Most importantly, it is essential that managers are mature, professional, analytical, and possess a positive attitude. The successful candidate will have the skills necessary to prioritize and complete tasks as needed and have the capability to understand the mission and policies of Just Escape.

Education Level: Must have high school diploma or higher
