My client is a leading manufacturer and installer of high-quality glass and aluminum systems, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations. This is a key role ensuring materials, tools, and products flow efficiently through the shop to support production, fabrication, and installation teams.
Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations & Inventory
- Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, storing, staging, and dispatching glass, aluminum, hardware, and related materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels using internal tracking systems; conduct cycle counts and full inventory reviews.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and protection of glass and aluminum components to prevent damage.
- Manage loading/unloading of deliveries; coordinate logistics with suppliers and fabrication/installation teams.
Leadership & Team Management
- Supervise warehouse staff, including forklift operators, drivers, and general warehouse personnel.
- Train and develop team members on safety, equipment use, and workflow standards.
- Create schedules, assign tasks, and evaluate performance to ensure optimal productivity.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce all company safety guidelines, including proper glass handling and equipment operation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant warehouse environment.
- Oversee equipment maintenance (forklifts, glass racks, tools, etc.).
Process & Efficiency
- Implement improvements to warehouse layout, material flow, and inventory systems.
- Collaborate with production, purchasing, and installation departments to ensure timely project support.
- Monitor KPIs and track material usage to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
Requirements:
- 5 years of warehouse management experience within glass, glazing, or aluminum fabrication/manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of glass handling, aluminum extrusion management, and related hardware.
- Proven leadership experience overseeing warehouse teams.
- Ability to operate forklifts, glass handling equipment, and warehouse machinery.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Bilingual in English & Spanish strongly preferred.
- Basic computer skills (inventory software, Excel, email).
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a warehouse environment.
