Project Manager – Commercial Construction A leading commercial construction contractor is looking to add an experienced Project Manager to its team in SC. This is an opportunity to join an established contractor working on high-quality commercial construction projects across the Carolinas.
About the Role
Manage all aspects of ground-up commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of ground-up commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
- Oversee project budgets, financial reporting, contracts, schedules and change orders.
- Lead project teams across one large project or multiple smaller projects.
- Coordinate Owners, Architects, Designers, Subcontractors and internal teams.
- Run project meetings and maintain strong communication with all stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project.
- Manage project documentation and accounting processes.
- Review and coordinate MEP systems throughout the project.
- Oversee construction in occupied buildings where required.
- Maintain a high standard of quality across all project phases.
- Provide leadership, mentoring and training to Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers and other team members.
- Identify and resolve project issues while maintaining schedule and budget requirements.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience managing commercial construction projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of ground-up commercial construction.
- Experience with preconstruction, change orders and project financials.
- Knowledge of MEP systems and commercial interiors.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lead meetings and effectively communicate with Owners and Design teams.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Microsoft Project.
- Familiarity with construction accounting and project management software.
Salary : $11,000 - $135,000
