Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic individual to join our team as a
Responsibilities
- Assist with meal planning and preparation, ensuring menu adherence and nutritional standards are met
- Prepare food items using proper cooking techniques, including chopping, mixing, baking, and plating
- Support food handling and safety procedures to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment
- Serve meals efficiently and courteously to residents or customers, ensuring excellent customer service
- Help with catering events by setting up, serving, and cleaning up after meals
- Maintain inventory of food supplies and assist with stock rotation to minimize waste
- Follow all safety protocols related to kitchen operations, including knife skills and proper food storage
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is preferred
- Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques
- Experience in food service or the food industry, including restaurant or catering work
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Practical skills in meal preparation, food handling, and serving
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
