Job Summary
Just Amazing Care is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor with pediatric experience to support our application for Maryland Medicaid Pediatric Private Duty Nursing (Provider Type 53). This is an interim hire that must meet all Maryland Department of Health (DONS) requirements. The position will officially begin once the agency is approved for Type 53 services.
This role is critical to agency approval and ongoing compliance.
Schedule
50 hours per week
Position start date: Upon approval of Provider Type 53

Responsibilities
- Serve as the designated RN Supervisor for Pediatric Private Duty Nursing services
- Oversee and supervise RN and LPN nursing staff providing pediatric care
- Conduct and sign pediatric skills checklists and competency validations
- Ensure nursing services comply with approved plans of care
- Perform supervisory visits and clinical oversight as required
- Review and monitor nursing documentation for accuracy and compliance
- Participate in quality assurance and compliance activities
- Ensure adherence to COMAR and DONS requirements
- Support agency readiness for audits and inspections
Skills
- Active, unrestricted Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of one year of pediatric direct patient care experience within the last three years
- Experience in pediatric home health, private duty nursing, or comparable pediatric clinical setting
- Ability to supervise and evaluate RN and LPN staff
- Strong knowledge of pediatric nursing standards and documentation requirements
- Ability to meet Maryland Medicaid and DONS supervisory requirements
Required Documents (Must Be Provided)
Applicants must be able to provide the following documentation, which is required for Type 53 application submission:
- Copy of current Maryland RN license
- Current CPR certification (front and back of card)
- Resume clearly reflecting pediatric nursing experience
- Employment verification or references confirming pediatric direct patient care
- Completed pediatric skills checklist (or willingness to complete upon hire)
- CJIS State and Federal background check clearance (or willingness to complete)
- Valid driver's license
- Social Security card
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Ability to provide resume and identification as RN Observer for skills validation
Additional Information
- This is an interim position contingent upon meeting all Type 53 requirements
- Employment will formally begin once Just Amazing Care LLC receives Type 53 approval
