Leadership & Mentorship
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to shop technicians, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Assist in assigning, prioritize, and oversee daily workloads in the shop to ensure productivity and quality standards are met.
- Serve as the primary technical resource and escalation point for complex repairs and troubleshooting.
- Promote compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry best practices
- Perform advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of equipment and systems in both shop and field settings.
- Operate and manage the mobile service truck, providing timely, high-quality service at customer sites.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and vehicles are properly maintained and in safe working order.
- Accurately document all work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and service reports.
- Support parts ordering, inventory management, and coordination with vendors as needed.
- Act as a professional representative of NSC ATE while interacting with customers in the shop and field.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain diagnoses, repair solutions, and service recommendations.
- Uphold company standards for customer satisfaction, building trust and long-term relationships.
- 5 years of experience as a shop or field service technician, preferably in [insert industry focus: heavy equipment, industrial, mechanical, etc.].
- Proven leadership or mentoring experience in a service environment.
- Strong technical knowledge in diagnostics, repair, and maintenance of mechanical and/or electrical systems.
- Ability to operate and manage a mobile service truck independently.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication abilities.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL may be required depending on equipment.
- Split between shop environment and field service at customer sites.
- May involve overtime, weekend, and on-call work based on customer needs.
- Physical requirements include standing, lifting, and working with tools and heavy equipment.
