Responsibilities
- Operate the cash register using POS (Point of Sale) systems to process sales accurately and efficiently
- Handle retail sales transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and balancing cash drawers at shift end
- Stock shelves, coolers, and storage areas with merchandise, ensuring products are well-organized and fully stocked
- Assist customers with product inquiries
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the food prep area and store environment
- Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock supplies, reporting shortages, and assisting with receiving deliveries
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions professionally, and practicing good phone etiquette when taking orders or inquiries
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and cash register operations in retail or grocery settings
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly for transactions and inventory management
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to follow basic directions
- Experience in retail sales (will train)
- Familiarity with stock management practices including stocking, inventory control, and product rotation
- Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and friendly demeanor
- Ability to handle cash drawer responsibilities accurately while maintaining integrity in cash handling procedures
- Available to work nights, weekends and Holidays
