Job Description: Assembler (Boat Manufacturing)
Position Summary:
The Assembler installs interior and exterior components such as consoles, hatches, doors, seating, plumbing, and electrical pre-runs. This role ensures that boats ranging from 26 to 43 feet are built to production and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and follow build sheets and engineering drawings.
- Install consoles, liners, hatches, doors, seating, and other structural/interior parts.
- Fit and fasten hardware and components using adhesives, screws, and sealants.
- Run basic plumbing (hoses, pumps, thru-hulls) and electrical pre-wiring.
- Inspect and test installed systems for accuracy and function.
- Perform adjustments, grinding, trimming, and sealing as required.
- Maintains a clean work area and follows safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- 1–2 years’ experience in boatbuilding or general assembly (preferred).
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, adhesives, and fasteners.
- Ability to measure, mark, cut, and fit parts with precision.
- Basic understanding of marine systems is a plus.
