Pilates Instructor-Seasonal Part-time
JOB SUMMARY:
The Pilates Instructor must possess extensive knowledge and a current accredited Pilates certification. Needs to be creative with Pilates programming, while keeping safety a priority. Assists in the day-to-day operations of the Pilates Studio when necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES Include the following and other duties related to this position as may be assigned.
Provides immediate attention to all Members and guests upon their arrival to the Pilates Studio with a friendly and positive attitude.
Keeps current with certifications as well as the newest techniques in Pilates.
Complies with Club policies and procedures established in the Employee Handbook & Fitness Department Operations Manual or as demonstrated as common practice.
Ensures that Members have all the necessary paperwork on file before beginning a Pilates program.
Maintains Member and guest confidentiality.
Provides a safe and effective exercise program that meets Member needs as well as health parameters.
Assists Members and guests with the proper methods in using Pilates equipment.
Maintains a clean, well-organized, and adequately stocked fitness area.
Keeps inventory at adequate levels, maintains equipment properly and informs management when products or maintenance are needed.
Teaches group classes as necessary.
Actively promotes fitness services, programs, and events.
Wears proper uniform and maintains a high standard regarding personal appearance as outlined in the employee handbook.
Prompt with appointments and maintain a consistent quality of work.
Performs all services within the time frame established for each session.
Demonstrates a record of good work attendance and reliability.
Demonstrates flexibility in work habits and work schedule to support operational needs.
Maintains good working relationships with Members, guests, and colleagues.
Regularly attend, participate in, and support training and staff meetings as required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 500 hours of teaching Pilates is required. Employee must have the ability to communicate in English effectively both verbally and in writing. Excellent people skills are essential.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must be currently certified with an Accredited National Organization for Pilates. Current CPR and AED card Valid Driver’s License preferred
