What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driver / Direct Care Aide - Adult Medical Day Care position at Jupiter Care Inc?
Jupiter Adult Medical Day Care is seeking a reliable and compassionate Driver / Direct Care Aide to safely transport elderly participants between their homes and our Adult Medical Day Care Center while providing recreatinal activity assistance and direct care as needed.
Responsibilities
*Safely operate a company-provided 14-passenger bus (No CDL required).
*Transport elderly participants to and from the Adult Medical Day Care Center.
*Assist participants with boarding, exiting, wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility needs.
*Provide supervision and basic direct care during transportation and at the center when needed.
*Conduct daily vehicle safety inspections and maintain a clean vehicle.
*Follow all traffic laws and company safety policies.
*Assist Participant with activities of daily living.
Qualifications
*Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
*Experience driving a 14-passenger bus or similar passenger vehicle.
*Experience working with seniors or individuals with medical needs is preferred.
*Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
*Dependable, caring, and committed to providing excellent customer service.
Benefits
*35 hours per week
*Schedule: Monday thru Friday 7:30am to 2:30pm
*Company vehicle provided
*No CDL required
*Earn 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked
*6 paid major federal holidays
