**Required Experience and Skills:**
- Minimum of two years of CVOR and EPIC charting experience
- Cardiovascular (open-heart) cases experience
- Ability to support general OR as needed

**Preferred Experience:**
- 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty

**Education:**
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred

**Licensure and Certifications:**
- BLS required
- RN License in state of employment or compact

**Leadership Experience:**
- Meets expectations of applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders

**Clinical Experience:**
- Practices independently in the same or similar clinical setting
- Provides routine and complex care
- Develops ability to manage contingencies of clinical nursing
- Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers

**Skills and Qualifications:**
- Awareness of all relevant aspects of clinical situations
- Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
- Administers medications and treatments using appropriate protocol
- Monitors for side-effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given
- Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or care givers.
