Junk Quest is a small, locally owned junk removal company serving McKinney and nearby areas. We’re a 3-person operation looking to add a dependable 1099 independent contractor for junk removal work with steady, ongoing projects and a long-term opportunity for the right person.
Scope of Work
- Load and remove furniture, appliances, construction debris, and household junk
- Assist with residential and commercial junk removal jobs
- Safely lift, carry, and load items into trucks and trailers
- Maintain clean job sites and properly handle materials
- Interact professionally with customers on job sites
Requirements
- Ability to lift 75 lbs repeatedly
- Comfortable working outdoors in heat and cold
- Reliable transportation to job start locations
- Strong work ethic, punctual, and dependable
- Ability to follow job instructions and safety standards
- Valid driver’s license
- Sales experience
- Experience in junk removal, moving, landscaping, or construction is a plus
Compensation
- Contract rate: $18–$20 per hour (based on experience and performance)
- 1099 independent contractor position
- Rate adjustments available for consistent, high-quality work
Work Availability
- Jobs are generally available Monday–Saturday during daytime hours
- We’re looking for someone who can be consistent and dependable and who can prioritize availability when jobs are scheduled
