Mechanical Engineer - Automated Systems
Located: Evansville, Indiana
Pay: $70k-$110k base
We are an established industrial engineering and manufacturing company with a long history of designing innovative, automated finishing systems for manufacturers across a variety of industries.
We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and execution of automated paint finishing projects from concept through installation and startup. You’ll collaborate with customers, project managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, cost-effective systems that meet customer specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design and oversee engineering team members.
- Develop system layouts, floor plans, P&IDs, and equipment specifications.
- Support project proposals, design reviews, equipment purchasing, and BOM development.
- Provide technical guidance during manufacturing, installation, and startup.
- Ensure designs meet performance, environmental, and safety requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement and resolve technical challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Experience with equipment installation and startup, ideally in finishing or specialized processing systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD products (Inventor, Navisworks, Advance Steel).
- PE license is nice to have but not required.
