Residential & Outpatient Treatment | Full-Time
Juniper Tree Recovery – Owingsville, KY
Juniper Tree Recovery is a 79-bed residential drug and alcohol treatment center with outpatient services, set to open in January 2026, and located in Owingsville, Kentucky. We provide evidence-based, compassionate care for adults struggling with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
Our mission is to heal addiction, restore hope, and guide lives toward lasting freedom through the love of Jesus. We are currently seeking licensed and certified counselors to join our growing clinical team.
Position Summary
The Counselor provides substance use disorder (SUD) and mental health counseling services in both residential and outpatient treatment settings. This role includes clinical assessments, treatment planning, individual and group therapy, documentation, and coordination of care in compliance with Kentucky regulations, ASAM criteria, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Required credentials (one of the following):
- CADC
- LCADC
- LPCC
- LCSW
- LCADCA
- LPCA
- LADC
- Active Kentucky license or certification in good standing
- Experience as a substance abuse counselor, addiction counselor, or behavioral health therapist preferred
- Residential treatment experience a plus
- Familiarity with ASAM Criteria, trauma-informed care, and co-occurring disorders
- Strong clinical documentation and time-management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary treatment team
- Commitment to ethical, client-centered care
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct biopsychosocial and substance use assessments
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans
- Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions
- Provide documentation compliant with Medicaid and regulatory standards
- Participate in clinical staffing and treatment team meetings
- Coordinate care with medical providers, case management, and outside referral sources
- Support discharge planning and continuity of care
- Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and licensing requirements
