Responsibilities:
- Overseeing daily site operations for landscape construction crew
- Coordinating the equipment and materials needed for each project
- Supervising and training crew members on proper installation techniques, equipment operation, and safety aspects
- Maintaining project schedules and completing landscape construction projects within deadlines
- Overseeing quality control on job sites
- Safely operating equipment such as a loaders, skid steers, and excavators to perform landscape construction projects
- Loading/unloading cargo, heavy equipment, and planting materials
- Reading landscape plans and providing landscape material layouts
- Daily timekeeping of work hours on job sites for crew members
- Ensuring equipment and truck/trailer are in working order and properly maintained
- Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Skills/Requirements:
- Valid driver's license
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
- Experience with landscape construction projects
- Knowledge of landscape plants, grading, sod installation, drainage work, and irrigation
- Supervisory experience
- Must be able and willing to work for long periods of time outside (in extreme temperatures and direct sunlight)
- Must be able and willing to bend, stoop, and twist repeatedly throughout the day
- Must be able to use hand tools and power equipment needed for landscape construction projects
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
