Leading 90-year-old, New York Metal Fabrication Company is seeking a Industrial Spray Painter
Job Responsibilities: Preparation, Painting and Finishing of Metal Products
Job Duties:
- Prepare and paint metal surfaces using spray-painting equipment
- Mix paints according to manufacturer’s specifications
- Inspect surfaces for any needed repairs
- Sand, mask, blend and finish to match surrounding areas and retouch paint as necessary
- Use of appropriate PPE (Respiratory Protection, Safety Glasses, Steel Toe Shoes, Gloves, Clothing, As Directed)
- Adherence to company rules, safety program, standards and guidelines
- Adherence to supervisor’s direction
- Willingness to learn and be involved in various phases of production
Qualifications:
- Two years’ experience with spray painting
- Knowledge of paints, thinners and cleaners
- Ability to identify materials by type and thickness
- Ability to work overtime when required
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift 50 pounds.
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident
