As a Receptionist, you will serve as an important first point of contact for our facility and help ensure a welcoming and professional experience for everyone who walks through our doors.
Responsibilities include:
Welcome and assist residents, families, visitors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
Answer the telephone and switchboard during scheduled shifts.
Direct incoming calls to the appropriate employee or department.
Transfer callers to the appropriate voicemail when an employee is unavailable.
Provide general information about the facility, including the address, directions, fax numbers, website, and other relevant information.
Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail.
Coordinate the pickup and delivery of express mail services, including FedEx and UPS.
Assist with ordering, receiving, stocking, and distributing office supplies.
Perform general clerical duties, including copying, faxing, filing, and other administrative tasks.
Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives that enhance the customer experience, improve workflow, and support a positive work environment.
Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent related work experience.
Six months to one year of customer service, office, or clerical experience preferred.
Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills.
Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
Basic to intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to navigate the Internet and company systems.
Professional, friendly, and approachable demeanor.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
Flexible, adaptable, and willing to assist with changing priorities.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
