What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Specialist 1 - P/T (Variable Shift) [ALTON] position at JUNIORS SUPERMARKETS?
Job Purpose:
- To drive sales and provide excellent customer service in the hot food deli department, with a focus on promoting and merchandising products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer inquiries and needs.
- Prepare and serve hot food items according to established procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including displays and equipment.
- Actively promote and merchandise hot food items to increase sales.
- Stock and replenish inventory as needed.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Operate point-of-sale system and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by management.
Additional Duties: Management reserves the right to assign additional tasks as necessary to support store operations. Employees will be provided with proper training and protective equipment for any and all assigned tasks that require special handling.
Qualifications:Preferred Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Experience:
- Customer service experience preferred

- Excellent communication skills
