Junior's Restaurant, located at 386 Flatbush Ave. Ext (DeKalb) in Brooklyn,is now hiring full-time and part-time servers for our iconic New York City restaurants.
We serve a full menu of classic NYC comfort food at Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Late Night Dining. Our restaurants are some of the busiest independant restaruants in the United States. They feature a full bar, outdoor dining, large indoor dining rooms, and retail Bakery & Take Out departments.
Both AM and PM Shifts are available. Full Time preferred, but Part Time schedules will be considered. We work on weekends and holidays, which are some of our busiest times. Anyone applying should plan to work during those times. Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate a history of responsibility & reliability in previous employment, project an outgoing and positive image, have a helpful "anything that is needed," attitude with a strong work ethic. Must be able to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment, with a large and diverse staff. If you don't play well with others of different races, ethnicities, nationalities, religions or sexual orientations, this is likely not the environment for you.
Responsibilities:
- Serve food and beverages to guests
- Explain and advise guests in menu items
- Take accurate orders and enter accurately into the POS
- Maintain, stock, and clean service areas
- Greet and make all guests feel welcome at the restaurant with superior hospitality
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests with urgency
- Perform any other restaurant duties to make our restaurant better. This is a team based establishment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience serving in a similar high-volume restaurant environment
- Ability to build rapport with guests and co-workers from all walks of life
- Ability to work primarily on your feet for 8-10 hours
- Ability to lift a minimum of 20 lbs above your head
- Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Project a professional, polished image
