TITLE: Director of Operations
Reports to: Junior League of Abilene President
Position Overview: Establish and direct the implementation of the Junior League of Abilene (“JLA”) internal operations as needed to support the
delivery of quality services to Junior League members and Board of Directors. .
- This is a part time position, not to exceed 30 hours a week, with set scheduling.
- Background check required prior to employment.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Direct the day to day financial activities of JLA, including accounting , management reporting, financial forecasting, and cash management.
- Provide budget information for planning purposes.
- Manage the JLA office.
- Manage the IT resources that will ensure a properly maintained Junior League member and leadership database.
- Assist appropriate Board of Directors members and Carousel Chairman to ensure the League’s website is current at all times.
- Maintain access to social media and other communications.
- Maintain the master League calendar.
- Maintain efficient office systems and services.
- Work on various Projects and Programs as assigned.
Required Skills
- Strong oral and written presentation skills; ability to present technical material to lay people in a variety of settings, both formal and informal.
- Extensive knowledge of general business management, finance, accounting, and organizational development.
- Experience using databases, either for membership or fundraising purposes. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google applications.
- Professional demeanor, strong interpersonal skills, team-building ability.
- Ability to work evening hours from time to time.
- Commitment to voluntarism and women’s community leadership development.
Competencies
- High school degree, with associate degree preferred.
- Minimum of three to five years of experience in a position with similar responsibilities.
- Previous not-for-profit experience, preferably in an affiliate-based membership organization, preferred.
- Occasional travel within the local area may be required. (Current driver’s license and insurance required.)
- Ability to set up meeting sites, lifting and setting up tables and chairs, up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to type 40 words per minute.

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
