Qualifications
• Master’s Degree or higher in Education Administration
• Valid Missouri Principal Certification - Secondary Education
• Experience in building leadership is preferred
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Leadership of instruction, curriculum, assessment and professional development at the building level
• Supervision and evaluation of instructional and support staff
• Development and implementation of building improvement plans aligned with the comprehensive school improvement plan
• Evaluation of candidates and advisement regarding hiring recommendations to the superintendent
• Supervision of students, instructional programs, extra-curricular activities and events
• Oversight and management of the building budget
• Oversight of building level policies and administration of student discipline in accordance with Board policy
• Public relations and liaison with parents and community stakeholders
• Collaboration with other building principals, department directors, and district administrators
