As JAWPA continues to expand its reach and deepen its impact, we are seeking a Marketing Content Coordinator to help ensure our story reaches the right audience(s) in meaningful, engaging ways.

What You’ll Do
Create & Execute Content That Connects
- Own the day-to-day execution of content across social media, email, blogs, and digital campaigns
- Maintain and manage a content calendar that keeps everything organized and aligned
- Write clear, engaging content that reflects a consistent and human brand voice
- Keep content fresh by monitoring trends, platform updates, and growth opportunities
Tell Stories Visually
- Capture photos and short-form video to support storytelling
- Create content optimized for social platforms
- Spot and elevate compelling stories from programs, events, and partnerships
- Partner with internal team members to ensure visuals align with brand standards
Support Marketing & Communications Efforts
- Update website content for accuracy, clarity, and basic SEO best practices
- Draft initial PR materials such as press releases and media advisories
- Help distribute content across channels for maximum reach
- Track and report on engagement and performance metrics
Be Part of the Bigger Picture
- Support events, programs, and partnership-related deliverables
- Contribute to a collaborative team where priorities can shift quickly
- Help ensure everything we put out reflects quality and consistency

What You’ll Bring (Requirements)
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 2–4 years of experience in marketing, communications, or content‑focused roles.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Proven ability to work successfully and independently within cross-functional teams, often under demanding and/or changing deadlines
- Experience managing or supporting social media platforms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Cultural awareness and the ability to tailor content to diverse audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Adobe Suite and/or Canva
- Proficiency in content management and social media tools like Meltwater or HubSpot
- Experience supporting nonprofit or mission‑driven communications
