Permian Basin Executive Director
Scope: Full-time
Reports to:
President of Junior Achievement of the Chisholm Trail, Inc. (Fort Worth) and the Junior Achievement of the Permian Basin District Advisory Board
Primary Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Community Engagement
- Lead JAPB operations with vision, integrity, and alignment to JA’s mission.
- Serve as the public face of JAPB, cultivating relationships with business, education, and civic leaders.
- Collaborate with the district advisory board and JACT leadership to set and achieve strategic goals.
Fundraising & Event Management
- Design and implement a comprehensive fund development strategy, including corporate, foundation, and individual giving.
- Lead planning, promotion, and execution of signature fundraising events, ensuring strong ROI and community impact.
- Secure sponsorships, in-kind support, and volunteer engagement for events and campaigns.
Board & Volunteer Development
- Recruit, develop, and engage a high-performing district advisory board.
- Build and maintain relationships with volunteers, educators, and community partners.
- Facilitate board involvement in fundraising, events, and strategic planning.
Program Oversight & Partnerships
- Ensure high-quality program delivery in alignment with JA standards and local needs.
- Strengthen partnerships with schools and corporate partners to expand program reach.
- Oversee staff and volunteers to ensure effective onboarding, training, and support.
Operations & Compliance
- Manage the district budget with transparency and fiscal responsibility.
- Ensure compliance with JACT bylaws, district office operating agreement, and reporting standards.
- Develop and implement marketing and brand awareness strategies, including social media.
Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in business, nonprofit, or education sectors.
- Demonstrated success in event planning and execution, including fundraising events.
- Experience working with boards, volunteers, and community stakeholders.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
Desired
- Proven track record in corporate, foundation, and individual fundraising.
- Experience in marketing, public relations, or sales.
- Knowledge of CRM/database systems and reporting tools.
- Ability to manage multiple events and initiatives simultaneously with attention to detail.
