POSITION CONCEPT: The Education Program Manager will manage programs with particular emphasis on volunteer recruiting, training, placement, support, and recognition. Facilitate activities of volunteers and teachers, uphold quality standards for the organization, assure adherence to program models and program expansion, and develop and maintain good educator relationships at all levels.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage JA programs according to the JA USA Implementation Standards.
- Maintain regular contact with assigned education and corporate partners.
- Develop and cultivate relationships with education partners and new volunteer company connections.
- Recruit, screen, train and support volunteers to achieve program goals.
- Maintain database information on all programs and participants, ensuring accurate data entry for program projects and events.
- Ensure program quality through teacher and volunteer communications, classroom monitoring, and service.
- Maintain a strong understanding of new and existing JA Learning Experiences.
- Adhere to program implementation models and submit all necessary class registration forms and program variances.
- Provide feedback, materials, and resources to volunteers and teachers.
- Coordinate tracking, distribution, and maintain inventory of all program materials.
- Assist with major fundraising and education events as needed, which may include working occasional weeknights and weekends.
- Promote JA programs through social media.
- Other projects as required.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer literacy a must; strong oral/written communication skills; knowledge of the education community and organizations.
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced, changing environment.
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Flexible with time
