Dr. James Troha is entering his 14th year as president, and the current provost, Dr. Lauren Bowen, is in her 13th year. Juniata’s faculty and staff are exceptionally student-centered, and its liberal arts academic model is distinctively interdisciplinary. The College seeks a new provost with strong and compelling academic credentials who will advance academic quality and inspire excellence in teaching and learning. The new provost must have exceptional budget management skills and be able to make decisions, communicate with openness, honesty, and transparency, engage stakeholders in meaningful dialogue, and manage change with empathy. As a member of the senior leadership team, the provost will serve as the chief advocate for faculty and academic programs and as a key partner to the president in institutional decision-making.
