What are the responsibilities and job description for the Domestic Relations Caseworker position at Juniata County Domestic Relations?
The 41st Judicial District of Juniata County has an opening for a Caseworker at the Domestic Relations Section. This position is classified as full-time and is a union position. Wages are determined by the union contract.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED is required. Ability to effectively communicate with judges, attorneys, other states and courts, and members of the public is required. Candidates must have experience working in a confidential environment. Strong math and computer skills are preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities: Manage a caseload of approximately 150 cases which includes providing customer service to all parties involved, filing original complaints for support, taking various enforcement actions including preparing cases for Court, researching and locating absent parents, drafting support orders and entering all data on a statewide computer system. This position is responsible for answering phone calls and greeting/assisting clients.
A successful candidate must possess a Pennsylvania Criminal History Record Check and Child Abuse History Clearance less than one (1) year old.
