Inventory Technician Role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Technician to support the operational efficiency of our pharmacy by maintaining, organizing, and tracking all drug and supply inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Sourcing & Purchasing:
- Source and purchase drugs, supplies, and operational materials required for pharmacy workflows.
- Monitor stock levels and proactively reorder to avoid shortages or delays.
- Track incoming shipments and communicate expected delivery timelines.
- Inventory Management & Retrieval:
- Receive, label, and organize inventory within the warehouse according to storage requirements and safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the system.
- Fulfill inventory retrieval requests from pharmacy staff and deliver materials to designated workstations as needed.
- Facility Support & Equipment Handling:
- Assemble and set up workflow-related equipment and supplies for staff use.
- Organize and maintain workspace cleanliness.
- Dispose of packaging and waste materials as needed to support a clean and safe work environment.
- Assist with layout updates, equipment rearrangement, and stocking of workstations.
- Process Improvement & Coordination:
- Collaborate with operations and compounding staff to identify and resolve inventory-related issues.
- Suggest improvements to inventory storage, tracking, or replenishment processes to support efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or related certification preferred.
- Prior experience in inventory, logistics, warehouse, or pharmacy operations is strongly preferred.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs and be on your feet or moving throughout the day.
- Forklift Certification, or the ability to obtain certification in a timely manner.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with basic purchasing systems or inventory software is a plus.
- Dependable, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
