POSITION SUMMARY
The Seasonal Guest Service Representative performs all job assignments with a positive attitude that reflects Jungle Island’s mission statement and brand promise. The Seasonal Guest Services Representative is responsible for assisting and supporting the Guest Services Team during Luminosa by providing a high profile of quality in the department and includes, but is not limited to cashiering, front gate, show support and the front office. This position reports to the Director of Guest Services.
Essential Job Duties:
- Provide effective customer service for all external and internal guests by utilizing excellent, in-depth knowledge of Jungle Island products and programs.
- Listen to and resolve guest issues in a timely manner.
- Assist the department to maintain and exceed the revenue goals that meet/exceed the goals of the department and Jungle Island.
- Meet Jungle Island’s brand standards and expectations.
- Provides support and to the Specialists with guest issues, needs and complaints encountered in the park.
- Assist in the development and improvement of procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Must be detail oriented, possess excellent judgment and organizational skills.
- Have flexible work schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays
- Stays open minded to changes and seeks to learn new things.
- Possess excellent leadership and coaching skills
- Schedule availability from 5PM - 11PM.
- Rate $15.00 per hour.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of one year of experience in Guest Relations, Customer Service and/or Public Relations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Fluent in English and Spanish (preferred), additional languages welcome.
SKILLS/APTITUDES:
- Basic computer systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Galaxy, but not required.
- Ability to lead by example
- Engage in a positive manner to external and internal guests
- Problem solve and multi-task
- Work effectively in a team environment
- Communicate effectively and professionally (verbal, written and on the phone)
- Office environment; may be outside on Jungle Island park grounds; exposure to varying weather conditions; dust, and allergens; move about on uneven terrain.
- Able to sit and/or stand for periods of time, manual dexterity, operation of automated equipment, interaction with park guests, internal and external (phone and in person).
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and nights.
